Letter Transcription:
Monday Evening
Hello Darling!
I was thinking of you constantly all day today. At first I thought you would have a very dreary day for your departure, but the sun came out for awhile (I ordered it.)
Did you have a very tiresome trip? What time did you get back?
Mary's husband came home Saturday evening at 7 + went back Sunday evening. He went "A.W.O.L." + had it fixed up, but was worried about getting back in again. She said it was swell having him back again + I don't doubt it.
I just finished writing a letter to Marie + I told her I wouldn't tell her all about your trip because it would spoil it for you.
Boy! Was I sleepy today at work! Tonight I washed my hair + set it + am going to bed very early tonight. Tomorrow's the knitting club at Connie's so I know I won't get to bed early tomorrow.
Has anything new happened to you? Nothing has to me. I haven't got much to tell you (as you might have guessed), but had to write you a few lines.
Darling I love you heaps + heaps + then some.
I probably will have more to tell you after the club meeting tomorrow night.
I have to write to Ann now thanking her for the pot-holder so I had better sign off.
Go to bed early darling + get lots of sleep this week as I think you'll need it as I will.
I love you dear, so long.
Love,
Grace
